2. Scope

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and otherwise process personal information in connection with the Service. It applies alongside our Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

3. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we may process the following categories of information:

  • Account and profile data: such as email address, name or display name, profile image, authentication identifiers, and preferences.
  • Content you provide: images, collections, automation configurations, captions, and similar materials you upload or create in the product.
  • Integration data: when you connect third-party accounts (such as TikTok), we may receive or store tokens, account identifiers, scopes you authorize, and related metadata needed to provide integrations.
  • Usage and technical data: IP address, device and browser type, approximate location derived from IP, log events, timestamps, pages or features used, and diagnostic data for security and reliability.
  • Billing data: payment-related information is typically collected directly by Stripe; we may receive limited billing metadata (such as subscription status or transaction identifiers).
  • Communications: messages you send to us (for example, support requests).

4. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service;
  • Authenticate users and protect accounts and the Service;
  • Process transactions and communicate about billing or service changes;
  • Provide customer support and respond to inquiries;
  • Monitor and analyze usage and trends (including product analytics);
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms; and
  • Communicate marketing or product updates where permitted by law (you may opt out where required).

5. Legal bases (EEA, UK, and Switzerland)

Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:

  • Contract: processing necessary to perform our contract with you (providing the Service).
  • Legitimate interests: securing the Service, improving features, fraud prevention, and internal analytics, balanced against your rights.
  • Consent: where we ask for consent (for example, certain cookies or marketing), you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing.
  • Legal obligation: where processing is required by law.

6. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information in the conventional sense. We may share information with:

  • Service providers (subprocessors) who process data on our behalf, including:
    • Supabase for authentication, database, and related infrastructure;
    • Vercel for hosting the web application;
    • Creatomate (or similar providers) for media rendering or related processing connected to the Service;
    • Stripe for payment processing;
    • TikTok and other platforms when you choose to connect or publish through them (their terms and policies then apply).
  • Professional advisors (lawyers, auditors) where necessary.
  • Authorities if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
  • Business transfers in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to appropriate safeguards.

7. International transfers

We may process and store information in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. If we transfer personal information from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland to countries not deemed adequate by the relevant authority, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or other mechanisms permitted by law.

8. Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary depending on the nature of the data and legal requirements. You may request deletion of your account subject to exceptions (for example, records we must retain for tax or security reasons).

9. Your rights (EEA, UK, Switzerland)

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal information; restrict or object to certain processing; data portability; and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact support@autoslide.app. We may need to verify your request.

10. California residents (CPRA)

California residents may have additional rights, including to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, to delete personal information subject to exceptions, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising (we do not knowingly sell personal information as defined under the CPRA). You may designate an authorized agent where permitted by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. To submit a request, contact support@autoslide.app.

11. Cookies and similar technologies

We and our partners may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, secure the Service, and understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling certain cookies may affect functionality.

12. Security

We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
